Mr. Lund earned masters degrees from Southern Illinois University in English Literature and also in ESL (English as a Second Language). He traveled to England as an undergraduate to study English Literature with Oxford lecturers at Wroxton College, and has traveled to Costa Rica and Mexico City to study Spanish. He has served as Academic Dean at the ELS Language Center at the University of Dallas, and served in the same capacity and also as Chairman of the English Department at Dallas Lutheran School. Mr. Lund has given professional presentations on a wide range of topics at several statewide and international TESOL conferences. He has been interviewed on Dallas radio stations (The Wolf, The Ticket) about music and literature. His opera society at the school was also the subject of a newspaper article in the Dallas Morning News. Mr. Lund also taught a year-long Distance Learning TV course for JC Penney’s on “Preparing for the SAT.”
In 2005, Mr. Lund was interviewed for a Bible Literacy Report that was made public that year at the National Press Club. According to this study, he was one of forty-one “English teachers who in the judgment of their colleagues were among the best teachers in their subject. To secure the names and contact numbers of some of the best American high school English teachers, websites of state departments of education, school districts, and high schools were consulted, as well as rosters of ‘State Teachers of the Year.’”
Mr. Lund has been in Who’s Who in America since 2007. He is also an accomplished classical and jazz pianist, and he currently lectures in the Dallas area on topics of literature and music.
